When you think about robots, sci-fi novels, apocalyptic films and cardboard box Halloween costumes often come to mind. But with the help of new technology robots are reaching new potential.
Barrett Technology is among the leaders in advanced robotics. There are other places that are using robotic technology to create innovative products. iWalk is a company creating the first bionic foot system and iRobot works on creating advanced robots to name a few. This piece explores just how far Barrett robots are coming and what social implications developments in the robotic arena could have over the next few decades.
